Who We Are
Elite Specialist Group is a private disability management company providing multi-disciplinary care and assessment throughout the province of Ontario. Established in 2008 by Dr. Richard Tutak, Elite Specialist Group has been providing treatment and assessment for clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, slip and fall accidents and post surgical rehabilitation.

Meet the Team
Dr. Navraj Gill is the Executive Director of rehabilitation services at Elite Specialist Group. He completed his undergraduate studies at university of Toronto and then later graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996 with a doctor of chiropractic. Dr. Gill has been treating, educating and assisting injured accident patients for over 28 years. At Elite Specialist Group, he is the point of initial contact for the families and victims of traumatic accident cases. Whether it’s a hospital visit or house call, Dr. Gill is relied upon to provide crisis intervention, education and immediate access to multidisciplinary rehabilitation services.

Dr. Richard Tutak is the Founder and President of Elite Specialist Group. He graduated from York University in 1999 with a Specialised Honours degree in kinesiology and health sciences specializing in biomechanics. In 2003, he graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic college with a doctor of chiropractic and is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. From there he has been treating and assessing injured patients for over 20 years. At Elite Specialist Group, he manages complex injury cases to provide clients the best services by the best qualified health practitioners.

Hospital Discharge
Coordination
Patients with serious injuries admitted into hospital will require assistance and assistant devices to aid in their return to home. The safety and well being of our clients is paramount when coordinating a discharge plan. Our occupational therapist and nurses are trained to address all patient needs at time of discharge to achieve a comfortable and safe return home. They will meet with the patient and discharge coordinator from the hospital to ensure and smooth transition from hospital to home. We coordinate transportation, brace purchasing and fitting if necessary, personal devices to aid with safety and comfort and coordinate personal support work services for individuals who cannot care for themselves after their accident.
Case Management
Clients with catastrophic injuries as a result of a motor injury accident require a skilled practitioner to coordinate, document and facilitate care for their complex health needs. At Elite Specialist Group, we have the team to ensure patients receive proper care and assistance with navigation through the health care and insurance systems.
In-Home Treatment
People with acute orthopedic injuries may need in-home therapy until they can get out to a clinic. Our physiotherapists and chiropractors treat people in their homes.
People with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain conditions and those with psychosocial barriers often require treatment that helps them transition from home to the community. Our teams of case managers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech language pathologists provide coordinated, integrated care that enables gradual community integration.
For people with chronic pain conditions, we offer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP™), which “is the first disability prevention program specifically designed to target psychosocial risk factors for disability. Psychosocial factors were chosen as targets of the intervention on the basis of emerging research supporting their relevance to return-to-work outcomes and their amenability to change through intervention. PGAP™ is a life-role re-integration Program that has been tailored to meet the rehabilitation needs of individuals who are struggling to overcome the challenges associated with a wide range of debilitating health and mental health conditions.”(http://www.pdp-pgap.com)
Occupational Therapy Assessments and Treatment
We provide assessment and treatment services for all types on injuries, motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall injuries. Our occupational therapists are experienced with handling complex injuries where patients are facing physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges in their lives as a result of their impairment and/or disability. We have experience managing traumatic brain injuries, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations.
Medical Assessments
Elite Specialist Group provides professional, unbiased medical assessments of patients. The clinical findings of these assessments are used, in combination with a careful review of the patient's medical records, to formulate an objective medical opinion of a patient's diagnoses and required future treatments and assessments.
Elite Specialist Group completes legal assessments and reports for clients all across Ontario. We offer assessment services for Accident Benefits cases through OCF-18 forms and medical-legal assessment reports for tort cases.
